Rising behind Grand Central Terminal, the global chain's glass monolith offers a reliable base with easy access to key midtown sights and the United Nations Headquarters. A recent $130 million overhaul to “de-Trump” the property, as one witty Hyatt executive put it, included the addition of two ethereal sculptures by Barcelona-based artist Jaume Plensa in the lobby.
