Given the affluent area, it’s hardly surprising that On the Ave’s rooms are stylish, with industrial-style bathroom sinks, HD TVs, ergonomic Herman Miller chairs, plus down comforters and Egyptian-cotton sheets. On the upper floors, panoramic deluxe rooms and penthouse suites command fantastic private-balcony views of Central Park or the Hudson River, but all guests have access to terraces on the 14th and 16th floors to admire the cityscape. Although there’s no shortage of restaurants in the district, On the Ave will soon house the new location of acclaimed modern Chinese spot RedFarm. Rooms: 282.
