The Arquitectonica-designed Westin's ten-color patchwork-effect facade may not be to everyone's taste, but there's no disputing it makes an impact—no small feat in Times Square. The contemporary-styled accommodations within are considerably more understated. All rooms include the chain's signature pillow-top Heavenly Beds (covered with a down quilt), therapeutic-spa showers, 32-inch flat-screen TVs and iHome clock radio/iPod docks. Access to the 23rd-floor gym costs $10 day ($30 a week)—the fee is waived when you pay for a treatment in the spa. Alternatively, book a Spa-Inspired room on the same floor, which gives you unlimited free gym access, plus an in-room shiatsu massage chair and relaxing CDs. If you prefer to sweat in private, Workout rooms are equipped with stationary bikes or treadmills, free weights and a fitness ball, plus exercise DVDs.
