Films in Tompkins

To the long list of summer screenings joins this East Village shindig combining free movies, live music, and—on two occasions—free pizza. Although the films themselves target a more mature audience, the live music—all by local East side bands and musicians—and the happenings all around in the park will keep kids feeling excited and entertained. For the parents, the screening schedule includes Spike Lee's Summer of Sam (July 19); James Bond classic Goldfinger (July 26); the mysterious Donnie Darko (Aug 2); cult-comedy The Big Lebowski (Aug 9); and horror flick Poltergeist (Aug 16). On August 2 and August 9, Two Boots will also provide the attendees with free pizza, in celebration of their 25th birthday. The screenings all begin at sundown. Free. All ages.
