Round up the family this holiday season and take them to a movie screening presented by the Museum of the Moving Image. Children will be delighted by the Japanese folklore animated feature Kubo and the Two Strings, which will be presented daily along with “Winter Warrior” family workshops from December 26 through January 2. Animate a samurai scene, play with origami paper, design characters and participate in other creative activities (recommended for ages 5 and up). The museum will also present two screenings of Martin Scorsese’s 3-D film Hugo on December 24 and 30 to coincide with the museum’s retrospective on the director’s work. Don’t miss an introduction by Brian Selznick on the December 24th screening - the film is based on his graphic novel "The Invention of Hugo Cabaret." Various times. All ages.
