Holi: The Festival of Colors

The annual spring celebration comes to the Children’s Museum of Manhattan for a day of colorful fun. Join in on art and design workshops, story time, food tastings, and traditional dance performances. Families with create rangoli sand art (10am and 1pm; ages 5 and younger); carve stamps out of foam to design textiles with traditional symbols and colors (11am and 12pm; ages 6 and older); learn how to make thandai drinks with Indian spices (2pm; all ages); try their hands (and feet!) at some Bollywood dance choreography; and learn about the history of Holi through storytelling (3:30pm; all ages). Some workshops require sign up an hour before event.
