Chinese New Year Spectacular IV

At this dual celebration of the Lunar New Year and Black History Month international musicians and American history are at the forefront. The event features music from Gershwin, Zao Zhang and Liszt and includes performances from two celebrated Steinway artists Jiaxin Tian and Simon Mulligan, violinist Deni Bonet and Chinese opera tenor Dr. William Weimin Cai. Former New York mayor David Dinkin takes Carnegie Hall's stage to narrate Lincoln Portrait, an orchestral work by Aaron Copland that is accompanied by readings from Abraham Lincoln's great documents.
