Time Out says

The Young People's Concerts at Lincoln Center are geared for the attention spans of children, a one-hour performance with jokes and skits and gorgeous music—after all, that's the NY Philharmonic on the stage. The season kicks off on November 9 with a look at American composers from Aaron Copeland, to Leonard Bernstein, to the NY middle-schooler Michael Rodriguez (who's a part of the Very Young Composers program). Be sure to get there early for the YPC Overtures, when you can meet the musicians and the little ones can try their hands at playing the instruments. Young People's Concerts make music fun for the whole family. Ages 6 and up.
