The 2020-2021 school year is constantly changing.

Earlier this fall, the NYC DOE revealed a new grading policy and announced that parents only have one opportunity to switch their children into blended learning—a decision that came as a surprise to most. Now, the state has informed families that the January 2021 Regents exams will not take place because of the ongoing pandemic.

“Whether they are engaged in in-school, hybrid or remote learning, we are committed to ensuring each of New York’s students has access to the rigorous coursework necessary to prepare them for success this year and beyond," Board of Regents Vice Chancellor T. Andrew Brown said in a statement. "The cancellation of the January Regents Examinations will not impact that priority.”

There is no word about the June or August 2021 Regents exams as of yet. For all of your school-related Q's, take a look at the NYC DOE's 2020-2021 calendar. Keep the kids busy with extracurricular activities, virtual or in person, by perusing the offerings on our classes page
