Update: For the first time in the park's history, Six Flags will offer its Holiday in the Park as a drive-thru experience Monday through Thursday evenings from Nov 30 through Dec 17. Other experiences, including roller coasters, fire pits and holiday treats will only be available on the weekend. All guests must reserve a ticket online. All safety measures are available on the park's website.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Six Flags.

The fan-favorite theme park is slated to debut its sixth Holiday in the Park extravaganza from Nov 14 to Jan 3, 2021, and guests have plenty to look forward to this season. Returning traditions include Holiday Magic: A Celebration of the Season, a festive light show, Joy to the World, a path of illuminated trees, and Polar Point, an area of ice-blue trees frequented by the Snow King and Queen.

Along with new safety measures are new activities:

Venture to the Jolly Jamboree in the catering section of the park. Here, you and your kiddos can admire festive decor like garlands and trees while munching on s'mores and browsing for the perfect stocking stuffers. Illuminated animals, a salute to the return of the Animal Safari, will be at the ready. And speaking of the Animal Safari, it will remain open on weekends and select days through Nov 29. Additionally, Jack Frost will join the festival's character lineup.

Plus, there are new events happening within the festival's duration: If you're traveling without the kiddos, consider stopping by the Holiday Wine Fest (Nov 14, 15). The following week on Nov 21 and 22, there will be a food drive to collect non-perishable items for FULFILL, the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, Inc.

“Holiday in the Park has become a family tradition with world-class entertainment for all ages," Park President John Winkler said in a statement. “Now more than ever before, families are yearning for safe ways to make new and lasting memories together. Six Flags is laser-focused on safety, and our comprehensive, new protocols have demonstrated that we can deliver the fun and thrills our guests expect in a clean, socially distanced and safe environment.”
