Restaurants, Southwestern American Upper West Side

Fuel up for a day of exploring the exhibits at the American Museum of Natural History by grabbing lunch at this Tex-Mex Upper West Side eatery. Kids can share a chicken or wild mushroom quesadilla ($10)—or gobble one up all by themselves—or savor beef picadillo empanadas ($10). Tacos filled with marinated chicken, steak, beer battered fish and octopus are served with rice and black beans for a filling meal. The guacamole here is a must-order—it’s served in a mortar and freshly made to perfection.
