At this tiny favorite on Park Slope’s restaurant row, the music is Portuguese fado, the decor (copper pots, rough-hewn communal tables) is faux farmhouse and the food is fantastic. The wide-ranging menu includes hearty comfort food from Portugal, Spain and Italy. Several appetizers and main courses described as “for two”—like the massive rib-eye steak carved at your table—would satisfy an even larger group. A thick port sauce adds further earthiness to chunky pine-nut–crusted lamb. The only drawback is a lack of reasonably priced wines on the extensive list.
