The Boy Scouts of America Greater New York Councils are celebrating Brooklyn Fishing Day with a free event that is sure to get your kiddos hooked on fishing. Professional bass angler Tom Redington will be on hand to teach families how to properly catch–and then release—fishes by the Prospect Park Boat House. Be sure to register early for the event: the first 400 boys (ages 5–12) who do will receive a free Zebco Rod & Reel so they’ll be set for camping trips this summer. Because you know what they say: give a [boy] a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a [boy] to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime. All ages.
