Time Out says

If you’re looking for a summer camp that meets your kid exactly where they are—whether that’s nature-loving, city-staying or community-curious—the 14th Street Y has options that feel like they were custom-built for your family.

For little ones ages 2 to 5, New Town Day Camp takes place at the 14Y’s East Village home base. It's a city kid’s dream: safe, structured and just the right amount of wild. Think daily water play, group games, art exploration and snack time that’s taken very seriously.

For older kids in grades K through 8, New Country Day Camp offers the great outdoors without the long drive. Set on 75 lush acres in the Staten Island Greenbelt, it’s where campers build confidence and community while dabbling in everything from science and archery to performing arts and swimming.

And for LGBTQ+ youth and their allies ages 5 to 13, New Country Pride Camp creates an affirming space that celebrates individuality, friendship and joy. It’s inclusive, empowering and just as much fun as it sounds.

All three camps keep things hands-on, high-energy and rooted in values. It’s about trying new things, meeting great people and maybe even learning how to pack a backpack without losing your sunscreen.
