Join Symphony Space and Team First Book NYC as they honor famed children’s novelist Beverly Cleary on her 100th birthday. Cleary wrote more than 30 celebrated books that captured the heart of children everywhere. Many special guests will be in attendance including authors Jarrett J. Krosoczka of The Lunch Lady series, Tony DiTerlizzi of The Spiderwick Chronicles, Jeff Kinney of Diary of a Wimpy Kid and RJ Palacio of Wonder plus actresses Condola Rashad and Stockard Channing who will read from some Cleary’s most noted works like The Mouse and the Motorcycle, Ramona the Pest, Dear Mr. Henshaw and more. Bank Street Bookstore will provide a book sale so be sure to peruse the stories for purchase. Ages 8 to 12.
