Centuries ago, Dutch colonists prepared holiday recipes that remained prominent throughout New York history. Learn about how an 18th century Dutch girl named Cornelia van Varick cooked New Years meals. You’ll use tools and ingredients used in her kitchen like sugar cones and nippers, dutch ovens and mortars and pestles to make two tasty desserts: orange caraway cookies and fried doughnuts. Ages 8 and up.
