Enterprising youngsters craft robots that they can test and take home. Older kids build them with cardboard and circuits that enable them to move on their own, adorning these creations with embellishments before letting them run wild in the robot arena. Along the way, party leaders explain the engineering concepts that make it all possible. The Silver party for kids 4–6 years old make parachute bots—there’s no real electronics involved—that they can deploy in wind tunnels and drop zones and the Gold party (ages 5–12) get kids working with circuits and provides goody bags. Parents may bring in cake and food from outside vendors or pay extra for cool add-ons. The all-inclusive Platinum party (ages 5–12) gives them the power to build a custom robot, plus provides food to fuel any adults present as well as the kids, invites, decorations, paper goods, enhanced goody bags and a stellar ice-cream cake from Ample Hills. Ages 5 and up.
