Tinkerers and inventors have the freedom to come up with their own wacky creations at this kid-oriented workspace in Gowanus. Robot Crafting classes (ages 5–7) teach youngsters basic principles of engineering to help them come up with creative design ideas and build simple robots and machines. In Robot Building (ages 8–10), more complex concepts are explained via demos, and then come into play as part of the weekly robot designs. In Robot Inventing (ages 7–13), older kids bring their contraptions to life using electrical components. They can even try out Hummingbird robotics kits for programming or collaborate to design a gardening robot as a group. Walking pick-up is available from some area schools. Ages 5–13.
