Budding chefs get active in the kitchen as part of NYBG's Edible Academy initiative. This family-friendly food fest teaches kids about the relationships between plants, farms and the food on our table through cooking demos (each day at 1pm), hands-on workshops, music and tastings with guest chefs. , Meet celebrity chef Carla Hall in a special appearance (Feb 16), stop by activity stations including Planthropy, Big Apple Edibles, and Growing Chefs for educational experiments (11am, noon and 2pm), then explore edible fruits and other tropical plants from around the world and create a healthy dish to take home home!
