Time Out says

While New York City put on its festive holiday decor for the season, local bakeries and pastry chefs were busy constructing miniature frosted and candy-studded versions of Gotham's favorite landmarks. Now on display at Le Parker Meridien's fifth annual Gingerbread Extravaganza, the gingerbread structures mimic beloved locations including the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building and the Grand Central subway station. Stroll through the lobby to take a peek at the masterpieces for no charge, and submit your vote for the most creative confection for just $1. All proceeds will go to City Harvest to help feed hungry New Yorkers, and all voters will be entered to win a five-night stay at the Parker Palm Springs. What a sweet deal! All ages.
