Equipped with real, working tools— hammers, nails, wrenches and drills—children gain the confidence, skills and problem-solving abilities that come from building a finished project from scratch. Each week the campers build a different masterpiece. Young attendees (ages 4 to 6) might choose a session in which they customize and decorate go-karts with a buddy and put together a completely functional skateboard. Advanced builders (ages 7 to 9) can heighten their precision skills by making a personalized erector set unlike any you’d buy in a store, learn the science of acoustics by building working instruments, or treasure the experience of making a highly detailed pirate ship complete with barrels, ropes and cannons. Ages 4–6, 7–9.
