Enjoy a preview of Freshkills Park's 700 acres and almost eight miles of biking trails during this summery celebration. There will be free bike rentals, guided walks from NYC Audubon and NYC Sanitation groups as well as performances from the Staten Island Philharmonic and kite-flying/art activities for kids. All ages.
*"Shuttle buses will transport visitors to and from the St. George Ferry Terminal (Ramp E, Taxi Stand) into the park. Those arriving by bicycle can enter at the 350 Wild Ave. entrance. For cars, parking will be available just outside Freshkills Park in lots near 350 Wild Avenue. From there, visitors can take a shuttle bus or walk one mile to the main event area."
