Time Out says

Wave Hill is dedicating a weekend to one of the Hudson River's popular inhabitants: eels! Prepare for a handful of hands-on activities all in honor of the unique creatures. The schedule is as follows:

Family Art Project: The Epic of an Eel (April 6 & 7 10am–1pm): Eels cover a lot of territory. Kids will celebrate their migration by creating a small puppet theater of the animal's enviornment.

Meet the Eels (April 6 at 1:30pm): Kids 5 and up will get an up-close-and-personal look at real deal. A rep from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation’s Hudson River Eel Project will guide visitors through the meet and greet!

Nature Talk (April 6 at 2pm): Learn all about these fish-snake hybrids with scientists from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation’s Hudson River Eel Project.

Counting Eels (April 7 at 2pm): This offsite event, held at The Center for the Urban River at Beczak in Yonkers, will allow visitors to uncover findings about migrating eels as well as their ecosystems.
