Family Fun Day

Take a free ride into Governors Island for a day of free theater, musical performances, and a lineup of activities the whole family will enjoy. Learn improvisation techniques with Story Pirates, dance around with Tim Kubart and the Space Cadets, laugh it up with Loony Toony the Clown, and watch Mario the Magician pull a few fast ones over his audience. There will also be face-painting, puppet-making, composting lessons, and sports. When your crew is worn out from all the jumping and playing, grab a bite from any of the food vendors and enjoy a picnic on the grass with a view of lower Manhattan off in the distance. Ferries are free before noon, $2 round trip between noon and closing, and children under 12 ride free. All ages.
