From Book to Boat

Bestselling author and illustrator Brian Floca will present slides and stories about his inspiration for his book Lightship, which celebrates 10 years in March.  In fact, South Street Seaport Museum’s own Ambrose lightship served as the spark for his story and in this presentation, Floca will also answer questions and offer a glimpse into what it takes to research, write, and illustrate a picture book.
