Hike the Heights

Lace up some comfy shoes and join this annual hike and scavenger hunt (using the Monkey Spot Scavenger Hunts app) along Giraffe Trail, the 6-mile urban route that connects the Cloisters to Central Park via trails in Fort Tryon Park, Highbridge Park, Jackie Robinson Park, St. Nicholas Park, and Morningside Park. You're free to join the hike at different times and places along the route, or just head straight to the Sunken Playground (167th St and Edgecombe Ave) at 11:30am to celebrate the High Bridge, which reopened last year after being closed for over 40 years.
