Time Out says

Built in 1952, this hulking pier is listed on the state and national Registers of Historic Places. Though slated for improvements (including several acres of public space), courtesy of Youngwoo & Associates, the pier is currently empty. It regularly hosts large-scale events, including the annual Wine & Food Festival's Grand Tasting and the Gay Pride Dance on the Pier.
