LICSB's Hoedown

Budding ballerinas will revel in this Western-tinged performance combining ballet and modern dance at the Long Island City School of Ballet’s annual showcase. Dancers from the LICSB Student Company and students of Laura Ward’s Octavia Cup Choreography Project will take the stage to present the lively story of two families of girls who meet while living in the Wild West. In preparation for the world premiere, young students have carefully practiced Eric Ragan’s choreography under the tutelage of professional dancers, and the result is likely to have families do-si-doing in the aisles.
