If your kids have seen any Japanese animated films, it's likely they're already familiar with the work of director Hayao Miyazaki. Over the course of his 30-year career, the co-founder of the acclaimed Studio Ghibli has produced such hand-drawn gems as Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle and My Neighbor Totoro, all of which conjure up mystical worlds and shed light on the relationship between humans and nature. These films and more (think Kiki's Delivery Service and Castle in the Sky) are part of BAM's eight-film retrospective of the master animator. All ages.
