Lights, camera—action! The behind-the-scenes art and sciences of filmmaking are within a young movie buff’s grasp at this Queens museum. Children are led through activities like creating their own animation, making flip books and recording their own voiceovers for scenes from famous movies. They can also view iconic costumes and characters, like the real Yoda from Star Wars, play classic arcade games and watch a screening of a historic short film with Charlie Chaplin or a newer claymation movie starring Wallace and Gromit. A catered lunch, cake and workshops are available for an additional fee. Ages 8 and up.
