The future is now at the New York Hall of Science, where young budding engineers can learn how to design, construct and program their very own robots. Over the course of a week, campers use their logic, problem-solving skills and perhaps a bit of trial and error to grasp the basics of customizing motors and sensors to make a robot move, make noise and even react to its surroundings and other robots. The five-day camp ends with a showcase, during which the children put their whirring, moving machines to the test while proving their programming skills in a series of exciting robotics challenges. Who knows? Your kiddo could have a future career working for Google! Ages 8–11.
