Before cameras were invented, people painted portraits to capture their likenesses. Come check out the “Picturing Prestige: New York Portraits, 1700–1860” exhibit and view portraits of prominent New Yorkers. Then learn about the art of silhouette portraits before you trace and cut out your own profile to create your own silhouette! Ages 6 to 12.
