Strike a Pose: Family Portraits and John Singer Sargent at the Morgan Library & Museum

First there's a drawing lesson, then there's a drawing session: Simon Levenson, National Arts Club drawing instructor, will teach you and your kid the basics of working in charcoal. After 30 minutes of how-tos, you get to be both artist and model as you and your kid take turns sketching each other. There's some dress-up, with period accessories evoking the age of John Singer Sargent. This will be sure to—ahem—draw the family closer together. All materials included. Ages 6-14.
