Didn't catch the subway in time? Not a problem! The New York Transit Museum will extend its hours for its special, annual event: Subway Shindig for Families.
The get-together will take visitors back in time. Not only will they be amongst historic NYC subway cars, but they'll enjoy a few old-school games. Try your hand at Monopoloy, Pictionary, Sorry! and more fun activities. Things will get competitive with ring toss and water bottle flip challenges, so bring your A-game!
This evening of old-fashioned fun is how the venue gives back to those who can't always make it for a visit during normal hours.
“We recognize that many members of our community such as shift workers, first responders, medical professionals and others have schedules that make it virtually impossible for them to visit the Museum during traditional hours," Museum Director Concetta Anne Bencivenga said in a statement. Subway Shindig is the Transit Museum’s way of ensuring that everyone has a chance to visit.”
