Learn about the culture of West Africa and Nigeria in particular at this festival. Kids can create their own Ayoayo game, a Nigerian two-play board game, using recycled materials and learn about traditional batik methods and Nigerian Adire cloth while using fabric to make geometric designs. In the Media Lab, kids can make their own Ibibo Puppet and at the Clay Bar they can make Yoruba masks. Traditional Nigerian music will be playing in the Sound Booth to listen to, and there will also be a performance of West African Music by Brooklyn Music School’s World Percussion Department. All ages.
