After discovering NYC's best yoga for kids, mini yogis will namaste in the studio practicing their tree pose and downward-facing dog.

Yoga offerings are some of the best kids' fitness classes in NYC. Not only do studios such as Yogi Beans and The Yoga Room teach strength and flexibility, but they promote confidence and engagement with others. Parents with tiny tots who are looking for mommy and me classes (or mommies to be looking for prenatal yoga classes) have a plethora of options to choose from at these venues, too.

Can't decide where to begin? Some of these yoga classes for kids offer themes, while others include story times, music and other fun elements to ease little ones into the discipline. Grab a mat, comfy workout gear and get ready to flex, stretch and stay zen!

Try Me & My Bean for an introduction to yoga with musical instruments, fun props and catchy songs, or sign 'em up for Bean Yoga where kids will try fun partner poses, bends and twists (calming foot rubs are included, which tend to be a major favorite for the little ones). Tweens and teens feeling left out? There's also specific yoga classes for each age group.

There are many children's yoga classes to choose from at Karma Kids—so many, in fact, that you might have trouble picking! To start, you will want to explore Kids' Community Yoga, where kids ages 2–5 (and a parent) are invited to partake in fun games and poses. There are also kids-only classes for ages 3–4, 4–6, 7–9 and 10–12. Our favorite of the current offerings may very well be Girl Yoga Power, a class for ages 7–10 that focuses on building a positive self-image and demonstrating kindness toward others. Karma Kids also offers a class that specifically caters to children with special needs.
