One of our favorite street fairs and festivals is returning to Brooklyn for its 41st year, so block out some time to drop in with the family this weekend! The massive Atlantic Antic fest features tons of live entertainment, tasty eats from food trucks and lots of tents selling cool crafts. It's one of our favorite things to do in the fall, so check out the details below and don't miss out!

What is Atlantic Antic?

Atlantic Antic is Brooklyn's largest street fair, stretching across 10 city blocks in downtown Brooklyn. The festival takes place in September, inviting families and kids to browse wares from local artists, enjoy food from Brooklyn vendors, catch live performances and more.

When is Atlantic Antic?

Atlantic Antic is on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 12–6pm, rain or shine.

Where is Atlantic Antic?

Atlantic Antic takes place on Atlantic Ave between Fourth Ave and Hicks St, covering areas of Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill.

Families will have a wide array of food vendors to choose from when it's time to fuel up, including Donna's Italian Sausage, Red Hook Lobster Pound, Bev's West Indian Cuisine and The Cronut King - Jolie's Sweet Creations. Typical street fair treats like roasted corn, gyros and fresh lemonade will be on offer as well.

Although it's not connected to Atlantic Antic, kids won't want to miss the nearby Transit Museum's fleet of vintage busses, on display just once a year on the same day as the festival. Families can board the busses, talk to bus historians and bus drivers, or attend one of the many workshops offered throughout the day. Stop in at the "Education Depot" tent to design a bus with cool details and features. If you need a break from the crowds, check out the vintage subway cars at the New York Transit Museum (this event's organizer); admission is just $1 all day long (last admission at 4:30pm).
