As much as we love our fair city, New York can be overwhelming at times. If you're searching for an epic getaway or escape but are too lazy (or broke) to travel anywhere, there's a new VR theme park in town that can help.

The massive playhouse—dubbed VR World—offers 50 interactive experiences taking place in unique virtual dimensions where you can immerse yourself in works of art, music, science and fun games.

Using a VR 360 headset, you can partake in activities such as Formula One racing or interactive multiplayer challenges, one of which turns you into crème brûlée while you eat it? Okay, sure.

Ticket price isn't too shabby, either—$39. Whether you're in a playful mood or looking for fun birthday party ideas to do with a group, VR World has you covered.

VR World, 4 East 34th St (vrworldnyc.com). Tue–Thu noon–10pm, Fri noon–11pm, Sat noon–11pm, Sun noon–8pm.
