Madison Square Park is about to get smoked out again this summer. Today, tickets were released, along with the full chef lineup, for the Big Apple Barbecue Block Party. Scheduled for Saturday, June 13 and Sunday 14, the 13th annual blowout features some of the city's best barbecue experts, including Jean-Paul Bourgeois of Blue Smoke and Hill Country Barbecue's Charles Grund, plus Southern pit masters from BlackJack Barbecue in South Carolina and and Woodshed Smokehouse in Texas.
While the weekend-long party is free to attend, plates piled with meat and various sides (cornbread, slaw) go for about $9. But with a $275 VIP pass, you'll get access to an open bar, eats delivered directly from the 'cue and an opportunity to meet the pit masters.
