Stop online shopping for a second and check this out—Macy’s Herald Square is working to open what could be one of the best rooftops in the city.

In an attempt to make you care about the department store on a day that’s not the Fourth of July or Thanksgiving, the flagship Macy’s wants to branch out from clothing shopping and take advantage of all that extra space atop the 2.2-million-square-foot building.

The plan entails adding restaurants, greenery and park benches. Not only could it easily become your go-to summer drinking destination, but the department store also hopes it’ll bring more shoppers to the less-frequented higher floors. (There are a total of 11.) Though it’s just a tentative idea from the brand’s analyst meeting on Tuesday, anything that combines shopping and rooftops is already our favorite.
