Fifteen dining gems in the NYC area just joined New York's elite. The Michelin Guide just announced exciting new additions to its New York selection, highlighting three spots in Brooklyn, three in Queens, and nine in Manhattan. Rather than waiting for the annual fall gala, these establishments immediately join the guide as "Recommended," giving dedicated local diners a head start on discovering potential future Star or Bib Gourmand winners.

RECOMMENDED: The best restaurants in NYC right now

In Manhattan, the new entries showcase the city's incredible diversity. Hidden inside the historic Cherry Lane Theatre, Wild Cherry—from the acclaimed Frenchette team—beckons with dim globe lights, a stellar raw bar and exceptional fried frog legs in garlic butter. Over in the Upper East Side, Marcel brings elegant French brasserie classics to the restored Marcel Breuer building, while Kjun in Murray Hill brilliantly fuses Korean and Cajun traditions under Chef Jae Jung. In the East Village, Odo East Village serves serious Japanese izakaya dishes over an intimate wood counter, while Len Len captures the vibrant, retro energy of a 1970s Bangkok shophouse.

Brooklyn’s trio of additions focuses on charm, heritage and personality. In Greenpoint, Arthur shines as a modern French bistro that celebrates Northeast ingredients, surrounded by vintage furniture and brick walls. In Williamsburg, Balera brings thin, crispy pizzas and a playful retro vibe complete with a shimmering disco ball. Meanwhile, Confidant in Brooklyn Heights pairs a chic, dim-lit ambiance and quirky animal figures with seriously elevated cooking.

Not to be outdone, Queens proves its status as a world-class food destination with three distinct hotspots. In Astoria's Little Egypt, AbuQir offers an unfussy, market-style experience where diners select fresh seafood directly from a display case before it is cooked to order. In Sunnyside, Bolivian Llama Party brings loud Bolivian pop music and vibrant street-food favorites, while Ridgewood’s Pierogi Boys serves up exceptional, contemporary Polish comfort food, spotlighting their famous potato-and-cheese "Ruskie" pierogi.

By highlighting these culinary gems throughout the year on their website and mobile app with a "New" symbol, Michelin makes it easier than ever to track down NYC's emerging finest. Keep these fifteen hotspots on your radar—some of them might just walk away with prestigious Stars or Bib Gourmands later this year.
