Taking the bus or train is part of everyday life in Singapore – but unless you’re checking into that quirky SMRT train hotel, you won’t want to be stuck in a carriage wondering why your train isn’t moving. Here’s a heads-up for Circle Line users: Circle Line stations will close early at 11pm from Sundays to Wednesdays, starting from June 15 until July 30, 2025.

This supports upgrading works in preparation for the launch of Circle Line Stage 6 in early 2026. The upcoming extension will include three new stops – Keppel, Cantonment and Prince Edward Road.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has also advised that further service changes may take place between September and December this year. So if you’re heading to spots like Singapore Botanic Gardens, Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park or Stadium MRT for upcoming concerts via the Circle Line, do plan ahead.

For the latest service updates, download the MyTransport.SG app or follow LTA and SMRT on social media.
