If you're looking to redecorate (now that you're always home), hunt for new printed bedsheets, plant baskets for your indoor jungle, pastel dinnerware set and affordable scented candles to add to your personal space. From June 1, more than 500 products from Ikea are on sale at up to a 50 percent discount.

Some choice items include Hilleborg block-out curtains (now $34.90 from $49.90) to keep the sun out, Majalotta cushion covers with a trendy print (now $5.90 from $9.90) and a four-piece dining table and chairs set that is now going at $579 from the usual price of $739. If you're cooking a lot more now, you might also want to stock up on tea towels going for $2.90 for a set of four, a wooden chopping board for $4.90 and assorted storage boxes for less than $5.

One of the fun features of this mid-year sale is the weekday flash deals. Check back every day to see if the kitchenware, sofa or shelf you have your eye on is on sale. Too bad the restaurant and foodstuff aren't online – but for now, you can make the famous Ikea meatballs at home

Need more reasons to shop? Check out some local stores taking it online, plant shops that deliver to your door and fashionable reusable masks by local makers
