Chef-owner Antonio Miscellaneo secures the 85th place on the global Top 100 pizzaiolos

Beloved Joo Chiat pizzeria La Bottega Enoteca already made waves in March when it landed the 31st spot on this year's 50 Top Pizza Asia-Pacific 2026. And its streak continues – it is now Singapore's highest-ranked pizzeria at The Best Pizza Awards 2026, thanks to chef-owner Antonio Miscellaneo securing the 85th spot on the global Top 100 pizzaiolos ranking. Better yet, it's his fourth consecutive year making the prestigious ranking.
Held in Milan on June 24, The Best Pizza Awards recognises the world's top 100 pizzaiolos through an independent panel of culinary professionals spanning more than 60 countries. The awards, organised by the same team behind The Best Chef Awards, celebrate pizza makers who nail the holy trinity of authenticity, creativity and consistency. This year, Singapore scored two spots on the global list, with Antonio Brancato of ANTO Pizza e Aperitivi taking the 91st spot.
If Bottega’s chef-owner Miscellaneo’s name sounds familiar, that's because the Belluno-born chef has quietly built one of Singapore's strongest Italian restaurant portfolios. After starting out with the home-based private dining concept Casa Nostra, he went on to open La Bottega Enoteca in Joo Chiat before launching Casa Vostra with Ebb & Flow Group, which has since expanded to outlets at Raffles City, Jem, and, most recently, Tampines Mall.
Since debuting on the global Top 100 rankings in 2023, he has never dropped off. Having had a slice ourselves, we can see why it's become one of Singapore's most celebrated pizzerias. Every pizza starts with carefully sourced Italian ingredients and dough that's patiently developed using La Bottega's signature method.
La Bottega has also turned it into something of a destination for pizza enthusiasts. Over the past few years, the restaurant has hosted internationally acclaimed pizzaiolos, including Roberto Davanzo of Bob Alchimia a Spicchi (world No. 2), Jacopo Mercuro of 180 Grammi Pizzeria Romana (No. 8), and Massimiliano Prete of Sestogusto (No. 26).
