If you love animals, take your regular staycations up a notch and glamp in the wild at Singapore Zoo. The park's popular Glamping in the Wild experience is back from April 1, promising a retreat in nature and some wild animal encounters too.

No roughing it out here – Glamping in the Wild consists of a one-night stay in fully air-conditioned tents set in the lush rainforest surroundings of the Singapore Zoo. But what makes the experience 'wild' is the series of animal encounters and behind-the-scenes tours that come as part and parcel of the staycation.

Get up close and personal with the park's Asian elephants at a feeding session and learn all about their quirks from the friendly animal carers. Those with a keen interest in animal care will love the inside look at the Wildlife Nutrition Centre and Wildlife Healthcare and Research Centre too. This is where you'll get to learn all about what it takes to keep close to 15,000 animals across Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, and River Wonders well-fed and healthy.

As part of the programme, you'll also get to visit Wild Africa for sightings of majestic carnivores like the African lions and cheetahs, plus front row seats to the Californian Sea Lion's acrobatics at Splash Safari. The next morning, enjoy a Breakfast in the Wild – where you'll dine with orangutans, a tamandua, coatimundis and macaws.
