If you happen to be café-hopping in the Joo Chiat and Katong area this weekend, here’s another stop to add to your list. The popular Dona Manis Cake Shop is holding a limited-time pop-up at Creamier East Coast, where it’s selling its famed banana pies topped with scoops of Creamier ice cream, among other treats.
Last October, Dona Manis ran a similar collab with the ice cream brand at a pop-up in Takashimaya that sold out daily. The bakery is a homegrown name which has been around since the 90s at Katong Shopping Centre – which explains the snaking queues.
At this year’s pop-up, you can expect to see the same well-loved desserts – original banana pie ($4), chocolate banana pie ($4), and apple crumble ($6) at Creamier. Enjoy these with scoops of Creamier’s handcrafted ice cream ($3.90 per scoop) for the ultimate indulgence.
Some recommended pairings include banana pie with pistachio ice cream; chocolate banana pie with tiramisu ice cream, and apple crumble with yuzu cream cheese ice cream.

The collab menu items are available at Creamier East Coast from May 17 to 18, from noon until they’re sold out.
