This stunning scenic trail links the elevated paths of the Southern Ridges to Labrador Nature Reserve

February 2026 update: The Keppel Coastal Trail is now a key link in the unfolding Greater Southern Waterfront, one of Singapore's most ambitious urban projects. For a fresh experience this year, look out for the coastal beach reforestation zones, where over 3,800 native trees have been planted to bolster the area's biodiversity. If you're planning a longer weekend trek, the trail now offers seamless connectivity to the extended Pasir Panjang Park, which has added two hectares of waterfront greenery near the historic Power District, which will one day reopen as a lifestyle hub. Strap on your walking shoes.
The Keppel Coastal Trail is a stunning scenic walking trail that links the elevated trails of the Southern Ridges to the lush Labrador Nature Reserve. The relatively new trail takes visitors through beautiful coastal forests and dense mangroves, and past impressive historical sites along Singapore’s southern waterfront.
The Keppel Coastal Trail is located in Singapore’s southern region – running through the beautiful Labrador Nature Reserve and connecting to the Southern Ridges network of sky-high parks and trails.
To get there from the centre of Singapore, take the MRT to Labrador Park Station (Circle Line) and follow the park signs. Alternatively, several bus routes stop near the entrance to Labrador Nature Reserve – meaning it’s easily accessible from many corners of the city. The journey takes around 20-30 minutes.
The trail is about 2.2 kilometres long, meandering through forests and along coastal trails from Labrador Nature Reserve through Berlayer Creek to Bukit Chermin Boardwalk.
It's a relatively easy walk, taking around 30 to 45 minutes to complete at a leisurely pace – the perfect option to ease you back into the hiking season.
Highlights of the trail include sweeping coastal views of Keppel Harbour and the lush, moody mangroves of Berlayer Creek. History fans will be rewarded with WWII relics including old bunkers and gun emplacements, nature lovers are in for a treat – with a super diverse ecosystem of animals (including white-bellied sea eagles, paradise tree snakes, and migratory birds like the yellow-rumped flycatcher) calling the area home.
In line with the park operating hours of Singapore NParks, the trail is open daily from 7am to 7pm.
To avoid the crowds and the heat of the day, it’s best to visit in the early morning or later in the afternoon, or on a weekday if you’re able to get out of work for a nature reset.
