We’re almost hitting the last quarter of the year, and Japan is calling. Low-cost airline Air Japan is launching new flights between Singapore and Tokyo’s Narita Airport from November 21, 2025 – by that, we mean that there'll now be a daily frequency of travel between the two cities.
Air Japan isn’t a completely new name to Singaporean travellers – this budget carrier by All Nippon Airlines (ANA) first debuted its Singapore-Tokyo flights in early 2024, with one-way trips starting in the $200 range. At present, there are no outbound and inbound flights on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Coming in clutch just in time for the end-of-year holiday boom, this addition of flights to Air Japan’s schedule gives jetsetters more choices in departing and returning dates, while effectively meeting the high demand by Singaporeans for escapades in Japan. Last year, a record-breaking total of close to 700,000 Singaporeans visited the country, according to the Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO).
But don’t just stick to the usual hotspots in Tokyo just because that’s where your plane lands. Consider taking a domestic flight or speedy Shinkansen to Japan’s hidden gems to avoid the throng; we especially loved our time in the Hokuriku region, full of tasty eats, culture, and scenic sights.
Bookings for the newly added flights are already open. Get your tickets via Air Japan’s website.
