World's 50 Best Bars 2021: six entries from Singapore and Jigger and Pony retains ninth spot

The World’s 50 Best Bars has been bestowing top honours to drinking spots all over the world since 2009, and six Singapore spots – the most for any city – were recognised in this year's ceremony held in London on December 7.

Jigger and Pony does Singapore proud again by retaining its No. 9 position from last year. Sadly, Singapore no longer holds the title for Asia's best bar – that accolade goes to Hong Kong bar Coa which climbed one spot from last year to be No. 7.

Other Singapore bars on the list include Manhattan (No. 15), Atlas (No. 16), new entries No Sleep Club at No. 26 and MO Bar at No. 36 and Tippling Club which made a comeback at No. 43. 

Winners were chosen by more than 500 international “drink experts.” Outside of Singapore, clinching the top three positions are Connaught Bar and Tayēr + Elementary in London, and Barcelona bar Paradiso.
