Singapore's borders are open again, and the country is wasting no time in rebuilding its place as a tourist hotspot. Outlining its plans for the next year, Singapore Tourism Board and various partners unveiled a slew of exciting attractions, including Asia's first surf, skate and ski destination, an Avatar-inspired immersive attraction, and a festival that will position us as a wellness haven. That's all fine by us – there can never be too many fun things to do in Singapore. Here's what to get excited about.

An 80-metre-high Sentosa SkyJet, a refresh of the iconic Sentosa Musical Fountain from the 1980s, and an international food street – these are the exciting new attractions waiting in store for us at Sentosa this September. Called the Central Beach Bazaar, the new lifestyle offering by Mount Faber Lifestyle Group will be situated just steps away from Sentosa's Beach Station. One more attraction will be announced at a later date, but we hear that it'll include simulation rides and carnival games in upcycled shipping containers. For now, we can't wait to see the magnificent fountain against the Sentosa skyline, enjoy nostalgic music numbers at the Musical Fountain, all while savouring food from UK, Japan and more. For more information on Central Beach Bazaar, visit the official webpage here

Dreaming of the snow of Japan, the waves of Bali, and the skating bowls of California? Then you'll be chuffed to know that Asia's first snow, surf and skate attraction will be opening in Orchard Road in 2023. Trifecta by The Ride Side will feature three arenas: a snow arena powered by the first virtual reality simulator in Asia; a surf arena powered by deep water wave pool technology; and the world's first hybrid skate bowl. It's focused on building a community too, with eco-educational programmes and tours, a retail shop and a special partnership with other shops on Orchard Road.

Palawan Sands

The Island of Fun is about to get even more exciting. Shangri-La Group announced plans for a standalone lifestyle and entertainment complex complete with an electric go-kart circuit, two beach clubs, a new mini-golf course, and the existing HydroDash. Soon, you'll get to race around indoor three-level racetrack, bring the kids to a sandcastle-themed water play zone, hang out in private cabanas and your own plunge pool at the terraced beach club +Twelve, or get some swings in at UltraGolf slated to open in the second half of 2023. We just can't wait.

Avatar: The Experience

If you've ever thought that Gardens by the Bay reminded you of the 2009 film AVATAR, then you're not alone. And later this year, those fantasies will become reality when AVATAR: The Experience lands in Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay. The greenhouse's stunning waterfall, spiralling walkways and exotic flora will find new context in the alien world of Pandora. Expect a captivating walk-through of Pandora's bioluminescent environments, otherworldly creatures, flora and the culture of its indigenous people, the Na'vi. The new attraction was designed by Cityneon Holdings, Disney Location-Based Experiences, and James Cameron and Jon Landau’s Lightstorm Entertainment.
